Forest Reset

Seven days to slow down, connect to your senses, and let the forest reset your nervous system.

This isn't a course you consume — it's a practice you do. One invitation a day, for seven days: a small, wordless practice you can do in any patch of nature, from a real trail to the tree outside your window. Each day gives you a short teaching, one sensory invitation to take outside, and a reflection to carry it forward. No experience needed. No special place required. Just twenty minutes a day, and a willingness to go slower than feels natural.

Seven days, seven invitations:

  • Day 1 — Gravity. Feel the pull you've been fighting all day, and let the earth take the weight.

  • Day 2 — The Threshold. Cross from the world of doing into the world of being.

  • Day 3 — Soft Eyes. Trade the hunting gaze for the wandering one, and start noticing again.

  • Day 4 — The Sound Map. Sit still and let the forest's whole soundscape find you.

  • Day 5 — The Air Has a Scent. Breathe the forest in — and discover why the air itself changes you.

  • Day 6 — Skin of the World. Meet the living world with your hands.

  • Day 7 — The Sit Spot. Stay still long enough that the place forgets you're there — and belonging begins.

Who it's for

Forest Reset is for anyone who feels the pull to slow down but isn't sure where to start. You don't need a forest, special gear, or any experience — a city park, a backyard, or a single tree is enough. If you're stretched thin, screen-weary, or simply hungry for a quieter way of moving through your days, this is for you.

How it works

One invitation unlocks each day for seven days. Do it whenever suits you — twenty minutes is plenty. Miss a day? Pick up where you left off; the forest isn't keeping score.

Your guide

Forest Reset is led by David Motzenbecker, founder of Motz Studios and a guide certified by the Association of Nature & Forest Therapy (ANFT). He's led 400+ forest bathing walks for more than 3,000 people, and his work has been featured by FOX 9, KARE 11, MPLS St. Paul Magazine, and MinnPost. Organizations from the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum to Medtronic, Cargill, and General Mills have trusted him to guide their people into the woods. This course distills years of that in-person guiding into a practice you can carry anywhere.

Seven days. Seven invitations. One quieter you.
