About the Event
I will guide you on a 2-hour immersive, meditative, and therapeutic forest walk based on the Japanese practice of Shinrin Yoku. We will slow down and connect with our senses to the healing, stress-reducing beauty of a little-known hidden corner of the Twin Cities. We will slip away from our phones and revive our relationship with the forest and ourselves via unique invitations. We will share what we notice, incorporating our experiences into our memory to tap when we may need them. We will re-enter the tame world, renewed with the gift of nature that can be enjoyed time and again.
Guests should wear boots/shoes, clothing/gear appropriate for weather. Walk will be held in the rain and snow, but not thunderstorms or negative temperatures. Please wear/bring mosquito/tick repellent and sunscreen if desired. Please bring water if you would like to have some available throughout the walk.
DAY OF WALK:
· Please arrive at walk location 15 minutes prior to walk to allow for check in and walk overview.
· Late arrivals cannot be accommodated due to the immersive nature of the program.
· This is a TECH-FREE experience, so please leave mobile phones in car for duration of walk.
