About the Event
I will guide you on a 2-hour immersive, meditative, and therapeutic forest walk based on the Japanese practice of Shinrin Yoku. We will slow down and connect with our senses to the healing, stress-reducing beauty of a little-known hidden corner of the Twin Cities. We will slip away from our phones and revive our relationship with the forest and ourselves via unique invitations. We will share what we notice, incorporating our experiences into our memory to tap when we may need them. We will re-enter the tame world, renewed with the gift of nature that can be enjoyed time and again.
Guests should wear hiking boots/shoes, clothing/gear appropriate for weather. Walk will still be held in rain, but not thunderstorms. Please bring your own water/snacks (if desired).
PLEASE ARRIVE AND CHECK IN 15 PRIOR TO WALK START TIME. Late arrivals cannot be accommodated due to the immersive nature of the program.
Please leave mobile phones in car for duration of walk.
