About the Event

I will guide you on a series of four separate, 2-hour forest bathing walks based on the Japanese practice of Shinrin Yoku. We will slow down and connect with our senses to the healing, stress-reducing beauty of four little-known green oases in the Twin Cities. We will slip away from our phones and revive our connection with the forest; and will return renewed with the experience of a gift that can be enjoyed time and again.

This series takes place in October and will focus on the idea of "beginnings" that occur in fall, a time when things are typically ending.  Each week we will explore a new locale and contemplate a new perspective on "beginnings".

Guests should wear hiking boots/shoes, clothing/gear appropriate for weather. Walk will still be held in rain/snow, but not thunderstorms or negative temps.  Please bring your own water/snacks/bug spray (if desired).

PLEASE ARRIVE AND CHECK IN 15 MINUTES PRIOR TO WALK START TIME.

Late arrivals cannot be accommodated due to the immersive nature of the program.

THIS IS A TECH-FREE EXPERIENCE.  Please leave mobile phones in car for duration of walk.

**If you have not been vaccinated, please wear a mask so as to not put others in the group at risk.**
